Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for an Administrative Specialist. This program supporter will be the first point of contact with clients as they visit our location and will provide assistance accordingly, as well as provide administrative and clerical support to the department.

Essential Duties include:

  • Maintain lobby, kiosk and play areas
  • Greet and assist clients at kiosks with on line application process and  uploading documents to the portal
  • Record daily number of clients serviced at office location
  • Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff
  • Retrieve and distribute voicemails to appropriate staff
  • Perform basic clerical duties including, but not limited to data entry, faxing, typing memos, preparing agendas, and organizing paperwork, etc.
  • Schedule and distribute client appointments to staff
  • Review eligibility paperwork for completeness.
  • Scan, enter case note in portal and distribute documents received by clients
  • Transmit information via mail, fax and email to parents, providers, and partner agencies as needed
  • Review referrals for accuracy, mail notices, schedule appointments, discuss program requirements and required documentation
  • Provide assistance to direct Supervisor and department as needed.
  • Order office supplies
  • Maintain office calendar
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements include:

  • High School diploma or GED plus (3) years or more of direct related experience.  Associates Degree or Two (2) years of college in field related to specific job functions preferred
  • Access to reliable transportation

Salary: $32,000 - $35,000

Hours: Normal Coalition Hours are Monday- Friday, 8am- 5pm. 40 Hours per week

Some travel may be required.

Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for a CCR&R Community Outreach Specialist for the Family Services department. This specialist is responsible for supporting families and providers in Pinellas County through the provision of CCR&R programs and services.

Essential Duties include:

 

 

    • Assist with the delivery of Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) services.

 

    • Assist in the training and monitoring of Coalition staff.

 

    • Participate in required trainings and conference calls.

 

    • Be knowledgeable with CCR&R Program Requirements.

 

    • Responsible for assisting clients/families in locating quality childcare, the types of childcare available, and the importance of being their child’s first teacher.

 

    • Be knowledgeable in community resources and provides referral information for services as needed, and distribute relevant parent education material, based on client needs.

 

    • Process and maintain all family needs and satisfaction surveys submitted by clients.

 

    • Maintain all complaint forms from clients and providers.

 

    • Assist with the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual CCR&R reports by designated timeframes.

 

    • Answer telephones and provide appropriate assistance to callers, including retrieving calls from the CCR&R voice mail.

 

    • Provide technical support and assistance to families with using online registration via computer kiosks and telephone.

 

    • Plan, coordinate and attend community outreach and training events.

 

    • Provide backup support to VPK and Wait List as needed.

 

Requirements include:

 

 

    • High School diploma plus five (5) years or more of direct related experience.

 

    • Social Services experience and/or Associate’s degree preferred.

 

    • Marketing experience preferred.

 

    • At least one year of customer service related experience.

 

    • CCR&R Level 2 certification completed within 6 months of employment.

 

    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

 

    • Valid driver’s license.

 

    • Access to reliable transportation.

 

    • Available to work evenings and weekends.

 

    • Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred

The Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for Customer Service Representatives who will be responsible for receiving a high volume of inbound calls, scheduling appointments and providing resources to families, providers and community agencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include:

 

 

    • Receive high volume of inbound calls from providers, families and community agencies 

       

        • Follow established guidelines to provide excellent customer service in a prompt and efficient manner.

       

       

 

    • Identify customers’ needs to assist and provide solutions or direct as needed for additional follow-up.

 

    • Assist with provider inquiries

 

    • Provide general information about available resources

 

    • Input detailed history notations into database

 

    • Schedule appointments using appointment scheduling software

 

    • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements include:

 

 

    • High school diploma or equivalent required

 

    • Associates degree in related field is a plus

 

    • Bilingual - English/Spanish is a plus

 

    • One year of related experience in a call center or customer service environment handling high volume of calls preferred.

The Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for a Professional Development Trainer. The Professional Development Trainer is responsible to assess, develop, coordinate and facilitate trainings for early childhood professionals through the Coalition’s Professional Development Institute (PDI) to increase the advancement of a high quality early learning workforce in Pinellas County.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include:

  • Conduct a training needs analysis to determine the appropriate method of training to be used, and to evaluate training methods to ensure the Early Learning Coalition’s plans and goals are met
  • Develop curriculum for current and future training opportunities offered to the community
  • Assist in the development of the Professional Development Plan for PDI
  • Perform required trainings
  • Assist in the development of the training times & CEUs, to include coordination and facilitation duties
  • Participate on the ELC Professional Development Committee
  • Coordination and support for all ELC conferences
  • Assist in the marketing of the Institute with the child care community
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS include:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in child development, early childhood or related field required
  • 5 years of experience in early education setting, and experience in training adult learners
  • Outcomes Driven Trainer preferred. Certification is required upon availability of certification course.
  • Making the Most Out Of Classroom Interactions (MMCI) trainer preferred. Certification is required upon availability of certification course.
  • Early Learning Florida Coaching Certification/ COP preferred. Certification is required upon availability of certification course.
  • DOE certified trainer for VPK preferred. Certification is required upon availability of certification course.
  • Classroom Observation Scoring System (CLASS) certification preferred upon hire. Certification is required upon availability of certification course.
