Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for a Communications Manager. The Communications Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the Coalition’s Strategic Community Relations and Marketing plan. The Communications Manager creates, implements and oversees internal and external communications to proactively extend the reach and reputation of the Coalition.  

Essential Duties include:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and public relations strategy to increase brand awareness and recognition of the organization;
  • Develop relationships with key media to secure and grow positive media coverage of Coalition programs, events, and initiatives.
  • Manage creative development, distribution, and maintenance of all print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to, brochures, annual report, e-newsletters, corporate videos and website.
  • Develop and monitor communication standards, stylesheets, templates and tools to ensure consistency in image and branding.
  • Source and interface with graphic designers, printers and vendors on a variety of projects.
  • Lead community involvement projects and events in partnership with internal departments and community partners.
  • Grow our social media channels, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
  • Design and administer annual giving campaign.
  • Track and measure the level of engagement within the network over time.

 Requirements include:

  • BA/BS in Mass Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years successful experience in community relations/outreach and communications.

 Salary: $45,000 - $65,000

Hours:  This is a full-time position. Coalition hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week. Flexibility for evening and weekend events.

Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County is searching for a VPK Provider Contract Specialist. The VPK Provider Contract Specialist assists with the certification, management, and training for Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) provider program requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include:

  • Manage caseload for VPK provider certification
  • Responsible for Annual Provider Updates for contracted providers.
  • Complete onsite and/or desk monitoring of VPK providers for compliance with ELC policy and OEL guidelines. Prepares reports and forward to supervisor for review.
  • Create and maintain a tracking list for VPK providers.
  • Communicates provider changes to staff.
  • Assist with the development and training materials for VPK providers.
  • Provide technical assistance and/or resources to VPK providers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in field related to business and five years of experience in early childhood, elementary or special education or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State Florida statutes and other policies relevant to the VPK program is a plus.

Hours: Normal Coalition Hours are Monday- Friday, 8am- 5pm. 40 Hours per week
