Florida's Voluntary Prekindergarten Program

Florida's Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Program is designed to prepare four-year-olds for kindergarten and build the foundation for their educational success. The Early Learning Coalition of Pinellas County has partnered with Coordinated Child Care to provide this service to the families of Pinellas County.

To enroll, children must be four years old on or before September 1st and must reside in the State of Florida. Parents may choose between a 540-hour school year program and a 300-hour summer program. VPK is offered by a variety of public and private providers throughout Pinellas County. This summer, the Pinellas County Schools will join the private providers in offering VPK programs at select public school locations.
