School Readiness

The first years of a child's life are critical in their lifelong development. A young child's earliest experiences and environments, at home, at school and in the community set the stage for their lifelong success.

The ELCP and all of its community partners work toward making certain that every child in Pinellas County has access to the supports and resources they need to be ready to enter school and succeed. Under the broad umbrellas of School readiness Services, the ELCP provides:

• School Readiness Scholarship
• Florida First Start
• S.E.E.K.
• Born to Read

The Coalition contracts with the following community partners to provide these services:

• Coordinated Child Care of Pinellas, Inc.
• Pinellas County School District
• Pinellas County Health Department
• Pinellas Public Library Cooperative
